Anniversary Church Service

The Montserrat Progressive Society has been in existence for nearly 100 years (September 24, 1914) and was founded by Montserratians who came here and wanted to preserve and maintain their heritage.

To honor this and to keep the tradition of our ancestors alive we normally worship at various churches throughout the Bronx, New York City  and Brooklyn on the 3rd Sunday in September.

This year will be Sunday, September 25, 2011, as close to the anniversary as possible.

This year’s service will be held in the Bronx at Rhema Sanctuary of Praise, 486 Howe Avenue/Norton Avenue (Corner of Lacombe Avenue near Castle Hill), Bronx,  New York 10473.   Telephone (718) 822 0232.   Service starts at  11.00 am. This church building was acquired a few months ago.  The Pastor is Phillip Wyllis who was a pastor at the Cork Hill Pentecostal church for many years and who relocated during the volcanic crisis.

We hope to see you there!
