Bevy of Mother’s Day celebrations on tap to honor and pamper Caribbean moms

The 98-year-old Montserrat Progressive Society of New York, will present its annual Mother’s Day Extravaganza on May 13 at the Eastwood Manor in the Bronx.

Honorees include Sarita Weekes-Francis, deputy governor of Montserrat; the Rev. Franklin Reid, former rector, of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in the Bronx and priest in charge of St. Mary’s Parish Churches in Antigua; and Boston centenarian Margaret Greer.

A reception starts the event at 2 p.m. with an open bar, dinner and program at 3 p.m., followed by dancing.
