With Sadness We Announce the Passing of Brother Daniel Shoy

It is with deep sadness that the Montserrat Progressive Society of New York announce the death of our Brother Daniel Shoy on Saturday, March 2, 2013.

His Homegoing Celebration will take place on Saturday, March 9 at 9:00am at McCall’s Funeral Home in the Bronx.

Brother Shoy was a longstanding, devoted and dependable member of the Executive Committee of the Society.  He served as the Sergeant-at-Arms, a position he took on faithfully, with pride and dignity.

He was present at every meeting and function of the Society and besides being the Sergeant-at-Arms, he rolled up his sleeves and did whatever he could to ensure the viability and longevity of the Society. He also brought the younger generation of the family to the Society to assist in the various activities.   He was very active until a few years ago, when his health began to fail.

The Society extends condolences to his wife Dorothy and his beloved family.

Danny, you have fought a good fight and you have kept the faith.  May you have eternal rest.

From the President, the Executive Committee and members of the Montserrat Progressive Society of New York, Inc.
